Blenheim Palace

Our base at the heart of the Cotswolds is the perfect starting point for a driving tour which will take you through a classic rural British landscape, culminating in the great World Heritage Site that is Blenheim Palace. This magnificent building is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and was a built in the early 1700s as a gift from the nation to the 1st Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill for the victory won at the Battle of Blenheim. It remains to this day the family home of the Dukes of Marlborough.

The route to Blenheim takes you through a sequence of enchanting villages which evoke the traditional charm of life in the English countryside. The pace is relaxed, allowing the views over the unspoilt rolling hills of the Cotswolds to be appreciated as you potter along in one of our classic cars.

Visiting the palace, it is the sheer scale of the building that is so imposing. It is surrounded by 2100 acres of gardens landscaped by Capability Brown featuring both natural parkland as well as formal areas. The interior of the building is equally impressive with the awe-inspring grandeur of the staterooms and the wealth of treasures housed there. The visitor cannot fail to leave with a sense of wonder.

Blenheim Palace provides an exquisite centrepiece to a beautiful day touring through the Cotswolds. The circular route provides an opportunity to appreciate many gems of the Cotswolds along the way, away from the bustle of the major road network and will leave a wealth of classic car memories to look back on and enjoy.
