The Cotswolds provide the ideal location for a touring holiday in a classic sports car. In addition to the great natural beauty the area has to offer, there are a number of things to do on your visit.
Most important things first. At Classic Motoring we are big fans of food and there are some great restaurants for eating out. We are always happy to recommend, places we ourselves like to eat.
Auctions can be a lot of fun to browse, enjoy the atmosphere and maybe snap up a bargain or two and there are a number of auctions houses in the area which hold regular sales.
We often find that breaks give us the time for shopping and Cheltenham is a great place for this. The town has much architectural interest with many buildings of the Regency period and the Promenade and the Montpellier district in particular provide a huge range of very individual shops and boutiques.
For those with a botanical interest, The Cotswolds are home to the National Arboretum at Westonbirt and Batsford Arboretum, as well as some less well-known gardens in quite stunning settings.
History is all around you in the limestone villages of The Cotswolds but there are a number of excellent smaller stately homes to visit in addition to the headline sites such as Blenheim Palace and the Castles of Berkeley, Sudeley and Warwick. Let us know your particular interests and we will advise you what to see.
Each car is supplied with a touring guide with 20 tours of the Cotswolds and the surrounding regions. The tours include route guides, maps and what to visit along the way. We also provide a detailed map for those who want to find their own corner of the Cotswolds to explore.
